Yamaha RD 520 Conversion Rear Sprocket

Manufactured in the USA from premium aircraft-grade aluminum, each sprocket is hard anodized in black for exceptional durability and wear resistance. The hard-anodized finish significantly extends service life and provides longevity that rivals many steel sprockets while maintaining the weight advantages of aluminum.

Compared to a similar steel sprocket, this sprocket weighs less than half as much, reducing both rotational and unsprung weight.

Because unsprung weight has a greater impact on handling and suspension performance than weight carried by the chassis, even small reductions can produce noticeable improvements in acceleration, responsiveness, and overall ride quality. For example, on an RD350 the stock steel sprocket weighs about 2lbs vs. the aluminum weighing in at just 12 ounces!
